Jigger is a kind of equipment used for mineral separation, which is mainly separated according to the density difference of materials through the vertical variable-speed medium flow.

Working Principle

The working principle of jigger is to make use of the sorting function of materials in vertical ascending and descending water flow, and periodically blow ascending water flow through sieve plate to make the bed layer rise loosely, then the water flow drops or stops rising, and particles with different densities transfer relatively, so that heavy minerals enter the lower layer and light minerals transfer to the upper layer, thus realizing separation.

Application

Jigger is mainly used for mineral separation in metal mines such as tungsten, tin, gold, iron, manganese and titanium, coal mines and other fields.
